Consulting Policies

In accordance with Whiting School of Engineering (WSE) policies, academic staff members may engage in activities (e.g., consulting, scientific advisory board service) with entities outside the University. Consulting and other similar agreements concerning such activities are private contracts between academic staff members and outside entities. In most cases, however, these agreements must be reviewed by the Associate Dean for Research (ADR) to ensure that they comply with Johns Hopkins University and WSE policies, and that any conflict of interest is reviewed and managed. Proposed agreements should be submitted to the ADR before signing via mail, email, or fax.
