National Advisory Council (NAC)

The National Advisory Council (NAC) brings important insights and expertise to assist the Dean of the Whiting School of Engineering in reviewing critical issues. Serving three-year, renewable terms, members assist the dean and the Whiting School, bringing expertise from industry, government, and academia.

The National Advisory Council’s mission is to:

Formal National Advisory Council meetings are held twice a year, usually in coordination with the University Board of Trustee meetings.  During the time between Council meetings, several NAC ad hoc committees meet to address specific issues.  These ad hoc committees are chaired by and composed of NAC members and may also include individuals outside of the Council who have specific areas of expertise.
