
Everyone needs a little help from their friends at some point in time!
A number of great study and tutoring programs for both Engineering and Arts & Sciences students are run through the Office of Academic Advising in Garland Hall, 3rd floor, (410) 516-8216.
Tutoring is available in Math, Economics, Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering courses; meetings are Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Levering Market. Check with Academic Advising to find out the specific schedule. Everyone is welcome and you don't need to sign up beforehand—just show up!
This program consists of 1 tutor and 2-5 students from the same course and instructor. Small group tutoring is a weekly review of course materials, during which students can ask questions and receive help with homework. There is a $20 fee. Contact Academic Advising for details and sign-up info.
One-on-one tutoring is available in a variety of courses for students who need special assistance and meet certain guidelines. The cost is $25.
The Hopkins Organization for Minority Engineers and Scientists offers a free Sunday afternoon Drop-In Tutoring and Study-A-Thon. It's held in Shaffer Hall, room 302 from noon. to 6 p.m.
Free physics tutoring is available on Sundays and Mondays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Bloomberg 274.

The Writing Center offers free assistance at any stage of the writing process. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and also on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Center is located in the Greenhouse; call (410) 516-4258 or email writingcenter@jhu.edu for details.
SCAP provides undergrads with the opportunity to work individually with a grad student consultant on the following areas: time management, procrastination, test anxiety, study skills, note taking and reading college textbooks, and adjusting to college.
